Our
Hellertown establishment was started in 1955 by Franklin and Betty
Falk. They purchased a home and a barn at the northern end of
Hellertown and converted the property into a funeral home through many
hours of personal hard work and physical labor. Franklin, who
graduated from the former Eckel's Mortuary School in Philadelphia on
the GI bill after World War Two, felt that grieving families should be
offered personal service in a comfortable setting. He was assisted by
his wife, Betty, until they retired in 1990.
In
2003, a major expansion project was completed to the Hellertown
facility, doubling the space and adding an on-site crematory. The
architectural details mimic those within the Pennsburg facility: stained glass windows, oak trim throughout, and a color scheme recommended by Hospice organizations.
The
funeral home contains a spacious entry and foyer area that doubles as
an art gallery featuring local artist. A comfortable chapel can be
used for either funeral or memorial services. It is light and airy.
There is a special area for children, as well as several rooms for
friends and families to gather. Our goal is to offer you the most
comfortable setting for a very difficult time in your life. Also located in Hellertown is our cremation facility--attached to our chapel for the utmost security.
