Obituary for Louise Sperber

Louise Sperber
Louise B Sperber, 78, of Peter Becker Community in Harleysville died suddenly on March 30, 2017. She was the wife of Joseph H Wilkens. They had been married for ten years. She was known to be caring; engaging; loyal friend; competitive; helpful; fun as a companion; women’s sports person; leader; and good sport team coach as well as a ‘student respected' teacher in the Jenkintown School system for 33 years. She graduated Ursinus College in the ’60 with a B.S. and Temple with a M.Ed. Louise had a helping heart and was the main caregiver for both her father and mother. Graduated from Cheltenham HS in ’56; attended Camp Woodmere several summers; Phi Alpha Psi Sorority at Ursinus; member of Philadelphia ski club for 50 years; coach of the girls field hockey and lacrosse teams. She loved children and helped hundreds to achieve their potential. Helping children and travel were her favorites after retirement.

A “celebration of life” will be held on May 20 at 1-4PM at Franconia Heritage Banquet Center-Route 113 and Allentown Rd, 18964.

Contributions may be made in her honor to Peter Becker Community Benevolent Fund. Visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
